LOVE OF COMMUNITY
Since my youth in South Carolina, I have been giving back to the Clemson community in many ways. However, the "Jaquial & Community Turkey Drive" has been the longest running charity event. For the past seven years. OVER 200 FAMILIES have been benefited from the Jaquial & Community Turkey Drive’s to help families in need the Thanksgiving season.
Every year we’ve partnered with departments from Clemson University, local and national business, such as Wal-mart and Lowe’s home improvement, as well as church’s such as, Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia where former 44th president Barack Obama was an attendee twice during his presidency. Additionally, NFL wide receiver and also Clemson native DeAndre Hopkins has supported the endeavor in the past.
As a native of Clemson and former Clemson student, I take extreme interest in my community needs and giving back to those who make up the community I hold dear. —Jaquial Durham
